3D printing for Motorsport

The Motorsport sector was one of the first to use 3D-printed components to keep up with continually evolving technologies and the innovations needed race after race.
Additive Manufacturing enables designers to use specialist software to create complex designs for innovative components without limiting their inventive ingenuity, and more importantly it reduces lead-times.

Time is a key factor in Motorsport as race calendars leave little time available for optimizing vehicle performance. Whereas conventional technologies required six months to take a component from the drawing board to production, additive technology lets us produce new components in just two or three weeks.
